Students
The UCSD Jazz Camp is designed for students ages 14 to Adult. We require students to have developed a minimum of an intermediate level of proficiency on their instruments, and to have had some prior experience with performing jazz. Based on the live Placement Auditions, students are organized into two levels, either Intermediate or Advanced, for most camp segments. Placement is based not on age but on level of musical proficiency and student interest in particular styles of jazz.
